Ensaf Haidar, wife of jailed Saudi blogger Raif Badawi, was in France over the weekend. As you know, we have been supporting his husband for years, advocating for his release and rallying for his freedom.
Last week we tweeted about taking action and we also sent a Newsletter to our Members with all the information to raise awareness about his situation:
We have been supporting @Raif_Badawi since the blogger was sentenced to 10 years in prison and 1000 lashes. Three years ago he was flogged 50 times. Join us and take action, call for #SaudiArabia to #FreeRaif so he can be with his children and wife @miss9afi! https://t.co/SnwJ97aRzi

Back in December, Ensaf Haidar reacted on Twitter about a suggestion from the Canadian government that she could ask her father-in-law for help in hope of securing the release of her husband. Read more on CBC website.
#RaifBadawi A father and a laureate of European parliament prize needs his father's permission to be released from prison, in contrary, the Saudi gov. is working on cancelling the men control over women (male guardian). Can anyone explain to me this farce! pic.twitter.com/pM2XEBI5gm

Ensaf Haidar was recently in France, she has been interviewed and joined meetings (she was invited by French newspaper Marianne, more info here) during those two busy days. We hope it will help the release of Raif Badawi…
