We accept guest submissions for the Opinion Section of our website from local citizens, organization leaders, experts, or others who are knowledgeable about an issue. Publishing external voices and having diverse voices is important, it is a key part of our interaction with our readers. It’s important to listen to arguments from both sides of an issue to understand where each side is coming from. We want relevant and timely op-eds, your story must be well written and well argued. We do not accept stories that have been submitted simultaneously to other publications, submissions must be exclusive to us. If we accept your piece, you must certify that the work is yours, that you are the sole author of the work, and you must be able to take full credit for your piece. You must also certify that it has not appeared elsewhere, even in another language. In some specific cases we will consider previously published articles, but please disclose if that’s the case. We are not looking for a press release in disguise, and we don't accept sponsored posts. We will never intentionally publish anything that is hateful, insulting or bigoted.
