Take Action!

Together, we make change happen.

People taking action for human rights – The MagkaSama Project
Speak. Engage. Act. Change grows when we stand together.

In a world marked by growing polarization and shrinking civic space, speaking out and engaging with one another remain essential to protecting human rights and freedom of expression.

From raising awareness about atrocities in Darfur to standing with communities silenced by repression or censorship, action begins with attention and grows through collective effort. Every voice matters, and every action contributes to change.

At the MagkaSama Project, we share reliable information, raise awareness, and support concrete initiatives led by grassroots organizations defending human rights. There are many ways to get involved: support a local initiative, volunteer your time, contribute resources, sign a petition, participate in public dialogue, or join peaceful demonstrations.

We organize events, support our partners’ campaigns, and stand in solidarity with those working for justice. By joining our efforts, you become part of a broader movement committed to dignity, accountability, and freedom.

Support Our Campaign: Sama For Human Rights

Human rights start with awareness and grow stronger through action!

Human rights guide everything we do. Our work brings together public awareness and concrete action, alongside international and grassroots partners who lead change within their own communities.

The #SamaForHumanRights Campaign is rooted in a simple truth: the Universal Declaration of Human Rights applies to everyone, everywhere, at all times, regardless of borders or nationality.

Too often, it is the most silenced and oppressed communities who show the greatest courage in defending these rights. Freedom of expression, the ability to speak, think, and question without fear, is a fundamental right for all. Yet across the world, people continue to risk their safety and their lives for exercising it.

Standing together is essential. Human Rights Week, culminating on December 10, International Human Rights Day, is a powerful moment for reflection and collective action. But our responsibility does not end there.

Max Dana, Founder of The MagkaSama Project

As our founder, Max Dana reminds us with quiet poetry in this post on X:

This first day of the year should be Human Rights Day, as every day should hold this sacred purpose.
To celebrate the turning of the year carries meaning only when bound deeply,
To the freedom of people, the one of speech and the thinking—even when it challenges.
This first day of the year should be one of awareness and commitment.
