Enough Food For Everyone IFThe world produces enough food for everyone, but more than three million children die every year because they can’t get enough to eat. The food system is broken. In 2013, we need our leaders to do four important things to fix it. IF they take these steps, it will change the future for millions of children. This year could be the beginning of the end for global hunger.

A powerful introduction to the IF campaign, and a cruel reality: hunger still kills more people than AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis combined. In fact, more than two million children die each year because of malnutrition.

World leaders are meeting in Northern Ireland at the G8 summit. They have the power to stop the silent scandal of 1 in 8 people going to bed hungry every night. ‘With millions of you involved, telling our leaders that they need to take action to fix the broken food system, 2013 can mark the beginning of the end for global hunger.’

Behind the scenes, over 200 organizations are giving their support to the Enough Food For Everyone IF campaign. At present, signing up is only open to UK residents as the focus of the campaign is on lobbying the UK Government to take action both in the Budget and in its role as president of the G8 in 2013.

However, everyone is welcome to be part of the Enough Food For Everyone IF campaign by posting about it across their social networks, and by thinking about issues like buying Fairtrade products and avoiding food waste when doing grocery shopping. The more people who share the IF message that it’s time to fix the broken food system, then the louder our voices will be.’

The Enough Food For Everyone IF campaign has been added to the list of Campaigns we support, providing information and links to support the campaign!
